A hurricane in 1715 was responsible for the demise of many Spanish galleons. Aboard these ships were millions of dollars worth of gold and silver, among other treasures. The east coast of Florida became the graveyard for these vessels, mostly between Vero Beach and Jupiter. This stretch is now known as the Treasure Coast, and in the heart of that region is Stuart, Florida. Present day treasure hunters are still recovering gold and silver from these oceans, however the treasures we seek are the gold of the tannic water snook, and the silver of beach roaming tarpon.

Stuart is centrally located on Florida's east coast, so if you are staying in any of the following areas you owe it to yourself to fish in Stuart, Florida:

West Palm Beach, Jupiter, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Miami, Ft. Pierce, Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, Titusville, Orlando, Kissimmee.
